It's been just over a month since Louis Tomlinson's sister Félicité passed away, and the former One Direction star has broken his silence.

"Just wanted to thank everyone for their lovely words over the past couple of weeks," he wrote to his Twitter followers on Wednesday (April 17). "Back in the studio today to vocal something I wrote a few months ago. Sending you all loads of love x"

As previously reported, Tomlinson's 18-year-old sister was found dead at her London apartment on March 13, with the cause of death being identified as a heart attack. Since her tragic passing, her boyfriend has spoken out in a since-deleted note. His 14-year-old twin sisters, Daisy and Phoebe, also wrote moving tributes for their sister.

Her death came just a week after the singer released a single called "Two of Us," which he wrote for his mother who died after a short battle with leukemia in 2016.

“I just feel like musically, I almost needed to get this song off my chest,” he said in a statement about the song. “People say writing is a part of therapy and in a way, I feel like I’d been avoiding writing this song because I knew I only had one chance to get it right. I don’t mean to be too soppy about it, but if 'Two of Us' can help just one other person who's going through the tough time that I went through, then that would make me really happy.”
