Gas prices in Michigan are up 8 cents compared to last week.  Triple A of Michigan says the state’s drivers are now paying an average price of $2.52 per gallon for regular unleaded. This price is 4 cents less than this time last month and about 11 cents more than this time last year.

So far, as of Monday, things looked better in Battle Creek.  Gas Buddy shows prices around $2.31 per gallon.  The cheapest was $2.25 for cash only at the Circle K at Columbia and Riverside.  The C-Store across the street and at Columbia and 20th was at $2.31, as were the Meijer and Speedway stations on West Columbia.

AAA says motorists are paying an average of $38 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline; a discount of $9 from when prices were their highest last May.
