Every Thursday morning Katie Timber from the SPCA of Southwest Michigan stops by the WKFR studio with an dog or a cat that is looking for it's forever home. We love and support Katie and the SPCA but they do more then meets the eye. It is true what their web-site, spcaswmich.org states...

THE SPCAof Southwest Michiganis a nonprofit animal welfare organization — a no kill shelter — that has been rescuing homeless cats and dogs since 2002. The SPCA Southwest Michigan is not a county pound facility, but has a cooperative relationships with many of these agencies throughout the region to help save lives.

• They also help supply food to pets of needy familes
• Donate dog house and hay for those dogs that swell outside in the winter months
• Support other charitable causes in our community

We are so lucky to have a place for animals to go when they find themselves without a home. SO many incredible have been saved thanks to Katie and the SPCA of Southwest Michigan. Now we can say 'thank you' and support the incredible work katie and all the volunteers do on a daily basis.
