Detroit Man Finds A Penny Worth $1,000

Check your pockets, you might have a winning penny!

WWMT.com reported that Terry Williams of Detroit found one of the Ally Bank pennies worth $1,000!

Ally Bank stated that...

"It is hoping to encourage Americans to look for opportunities to save through its "Lucky Penny" promotion, which launched this week. The lucky pennies carry a copper color like real pennies, but feature the Detroit-based bank's logo instead of Abraham Lincoln's head. The flip side of the coin lists its value at 100,000 cents."

Terry told WWMT.com...

"I was walking down the sidewalk and I seen something shining, I said 'let me go ahead and pick this up,’”

Yet, is was not until a few days later that he went through his pockets and checked out the penny. What a thrill it must have been to discover that he was a $1,000 richer!
