Baby With Rare, Devastating Skin Disease Can’t Be Touched
This just might break your heart.
Eight-week-old Kiira Kinkle, of Lincoln, California, suffers from a rare condition in which her skin blisters or tears off at the most delicate of touches.
As a result, Kiira can't be touched directly on her skin. Her parents spend one-to-two hours each day individually bandaging her fingers and toes so she doesn't inadvertently hurt herself.
There is no cure for the disease and Kiira's parents are going public with their battle to help drum up publicity in the hopes of raising funds to help with research.
