Just another one of those things we take for granted living here in Michigan.  I mean there's some kind of show in the sky seemingly every night.  Whether it's the Northern Lights, the eclipses, the blue moons or all those UFOs flying around all the time.  And it looks like we might get the best show of the year as 2019 comes to a close.

According to an article on wzzm13.com, astronomy blogger David Samuhel says arguably the best meteor shower of the entire year peaks on Friday night into Saturday morning.  This meteor shower in particular is a good one for younger children that cannot stay up late into the night.  The 2019 showing of the Geminids may bring as many as 150 meteors per hour, according to the American Meteor Society (AMS), but onlookers should tamper their expectations as the shower peaks the night after December's full Cold Moon.
