One way of looking at the ring Michigan State Football had minted is, it's a celebration of both the Peach Bowl victory and, during the season, the win again "big brother" Michigan.

This was a fun rabbit-hole to go down as we watched people in Detroit go nuts over Matthew Stafford leading the Los Angeles Rams to a Super Bowl victory, and getting a ring after over a decade of being stuck with the Lions.

The Western Michigan football team release their non-conference schedule, with the news that the game vs. Michigan State will be played on Friday, Sept. 2nd. They will also host Pitt.

Maybe it doesn't get the press that Michigan/Ohio State gets, but the Michigan/Michigan State rivalry is pretty darned hot, too. This year, with both teams undefeated at 7-0, expectations are that the game might be one that people talk about for a while, but being undefeated isn't a requirement, as in 2015...
