Multiple reports of "projectiles" leaving the shooting range including bullets hitting a neighboring home lead to the temporary closing of the target shooting area.
The Battle Creek Police Department released a dashcam video showing multiple angles of the officer involved shooting from last week as well as the names of all involved.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says that shortly after midnight Monday, officers were called to the 1500 block of Hays Park Ave. where a woman said her boyfriend assaulted her before running off on foot with a gun. She had suffered physical injury in the attack.
The KDPS says that around 1am Thursday, a Kalamazoo resident was approached by two men in the area of South Pitcher St. and Walnut St. The men allegedly hit him with an object, and stole his wallet at gun point before fleeing on foot.
Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Deputies originally went to the Pavilion Estates Mobile Home Park in Pavilion Township around noon Wednesday to talk with a couple parked in a vehicle, after the owner of a trailer said the two had been squatting on his property. When deputies approached, they say the man got out of the car and pulled out a gun, firing one shot into the air.
