But as everything is cyclical in life, people are starting to get a bit calorie conscious again, so you'll be seeing Bell's "Light Hearted" beginning on January 20th.

It's a Bell's seasonal beer that's been around for close to twenty years, and this year, that beer is not only getting a new look, but also a new name.

For local fans of the beer voted the best beer in the country, Monday may have the feel of Oberon Day, annually celebrated in late March, coinciding with the release of Oberon. The language would be too flowery if we said something like "starting in humble beginnings, Two-Hearted Ale rose to be the number one beer in the country."

The press release starts with this daunting question: "Are your homebrew skills enough to get your beer served alongside Two Hearted, Bell’s Amber Ale, Oberon and others? Here’s your chance to prove it."

This marks the 3rd year in a row that Bell's Two Hearted Ale has been selected as the Best Beer In America by members of the American Homebrewers Association.
