‘Light Hearted’ Ale Joins Bell’s Lineup on January 20th
Bell's Two Hearted Ale has been voted the best beer in the country several times over now, and along with Oberon, it's a cornerstone of Bell's Brewery. But as everything is cyclical in life, people are starting to get a bit calorie conscious again, so you'll be seeing Bell's "Light Hearted" beginning on January 20th.
According to a Facebook post referenced in a Detroit Free-Press story, Light Hearted Ale will be available in Kalamazoo, at the Eccentric Cafe and the General Store on January 20th, and then will begin appearing around Michigan "in waves".
Light Hearted Ale checks in at 3.7% ABV, 110 calories and 9 grams of carbohydrates per 12 fluid ounces, but will maintain the same "malt, balanced, flavorful, hoppy" profile of Two Hearted Ale, Bell's said when it first unveiled the beer last August. By comparison, Two Hearted Ale (7% ABV) has 212 calories and 17 grams of carbs per 12 fluid ounces. - Detroit Free-Press story
