Lynn Chen-Zhang Named To WMU Board of Trustees
Local wealth management advisor Lynn Chen-Zhang of Portage has been named to the Western Michigan University Board of Trustees by Governor Rick Snyder.According to a release from the Governor's office, Chen-Zhang is a partner and chief operating officer with Zhang Financial in Portage. She is a certified financial planner and a certified public accountant, and was ranked as one of the nation’s Top Women Financial Advisors by Barron’s and Financial Times. Chen-Zhang is vice president of the Western Michigan University Foundation and serves on the Foundation’s Board of Directors, Investment Committee, and Committee on Directors. Chen-Zhang holds a master’s degree in accountancy from Western Michigan University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Subject to state Senate approval, she will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Dana Debel. She would serve the remainder of Debel's term, which ends Decemeber, 31, 2018.
