Jon Stewart Says Goodbye

Jon Stewart's final episode as host of The Daily Show aired last night after 17 years as host.

He wasted no time jumping right in to mock the Republican debate in Cleveland with correspondents Jessica Williams, Jordan Klepper, and Hasan Minhaj. Before they could get into the actual debate, the segment was interrupted by nearly all of the former correspondents including...

• Lewis Black, Kristen Schaal, Samantha Bee, Steve Carell, Mo Rocca, Dave Attell, Veep's Matt Walsh and Dan Bakkedahl, Larry Wilmore, Josh Gad, Rob and Nate Corddry, Michael Che, Olivia Munn, Rob Riggle, Ed Helms, Wyatt Cenac, John Oliver, and more.
• Politicians including Hilary Clinton, Sec. John Kerry, Sen. John McCain, Gov. Chris Christie, Sen. Chuck Schumer also filmed one-liners to send him off.
• The cameos culminated with an appearance by Stephen Colbert. He equated their journey together to Lord of the Rings with Jon being Frodo and Stephen being Samwise Gamgee. He also thanked Jon on behalf of all of the people who's careers he helped build which made the host noticeably emotional.
