We’re not too far away from spooky season, as summer is coming to an end, and we are going to be preparing for all of the fun and creepy things to do around Southwest Michigan.

The return of fall means the return of Halloween, and a brand new, fun Halloween event has been announced that will take place in Galesburg, Michigan, as the first annual Witches in the Woods Festival has been announced, but with a small twist.

Not much is known about the festival other than it’s dedicated to witches, with food, fun activities, vendors, and more.

The thing about the event is that it is scheduled for October 3 in 2026, from 10 AM to 8 PM at 33 W. Battle Creek St. in Galesburg. Interestingly, they chose to announce the event more than a year in advance, but I would imagine they want to draw a lot of attention to it as it is a new event.

The event page has minimal details, but they have a link that describes which booth necessities are needed in order to sign up to be a vendor:

All vendors shall be witch, warlock or metaphysical related. All vendors will be vetted and not necessarily in the order the applications were received. We will have a LOT more information as the event gets closer. This is a one-day event held outdoors in the woods. It generally runs later into the evening to allow for a fire and moon blessing to end the event.

What do you think is in store for us at this event?
