Straight up, this is a magnificent home and well deserving of its near-million dollar price tag. It sits in Grosse Ile with views of both the Detroit River and Lake Erie. But we gotta talk about these pastel pink rooms.

Not only the kitchen but a bath and bedroom hit you with a Pepto Bismol punch. And the pastels don't end there. There are Easter-toned blues and and greens throughout the house as well.

The 4800+ square foot home was built in 1905 and the listing agent shares:

Paradise awaits in this beautiful, historic home, where pride of ownership shines throughout! Nestled on just under an acre with 126 feet of waterfront, this 5 bedroom, 3.1 bath, 3-story home provides stunning panoramic views of the Detroit River and Lake Erie. Main floor features a beautiful dining room with an abundance of natural light. An exquisite, oversized living room, custom pub room, and bright & cheerful kitchen add to this home's exceptional charm.

When you get to the immaculate woodwork in the photos below and that staircase, know that legend has it came from one of Detroit's finest and best known historic hotels, the Russel House that once sat on Cadillac Square.

It's also worth noting the home is not on Grosse Ile proper, but neighboring and very exclusive Elba Island.

The home's ostentatious color scheme caught the eye of the Zillow Gone Wild Facebook page sparking both pro and con comments:

Nothing here that a fresh coat of paint (your choice of color) can’t fix. Obviously pink made the homeowner happy. The structure of the house is awesome and I love the woodwork!

That pink doesn’t scare me off. But it would be the first thing I would paint after purchase. Otherwise, it’s a nice house.

The backyard with the hot tub and lake view is actually really nice. The house feels like it could be beautiful, it has good bones, just needs re painted everywhere!

I am not a pink person, but I actually kind of love it. It could be really quirky and fun with the right accessories.

My dining room was pepto bismal pink when I bought my house. It’s now a lovely shade of sage green. Nothing a little paint won’t fix!

Gorgeous house! I'd repaint the cabinets and make a few minor changes for my personal taste, but the house is beautiful with all that original wood!
