The food you may feeding your dog could case them to chock from pieces of plastic in the food.

We all do our best to keep our pets safe, and feed them well. Now a popular dog food is being voluntary recalled by the parent company because plastic has been found in the food. According to Mlive,

"Mars Petcare has recalled a limited number of Cesar Filet Mignon Flavor wet dog food products due to a potential choking risk from small pieces of plastic which entered the food during the production process."

The company is asking people to throw away the product or return it to the store of purchase for a full refund. The products you should be concerned about are...

"Affected lot codes include: 632D14JC, 633B24JC, 634A14JC, 634A24JC, 634B14JC, 634B24JC, 634E14JC, 635A24JC, 635B14JC, 636D24JC, 636E14JC.

Each product will have a best by date that falls between Aug. 4, 2018 and Aug. 5, 2018."

The only good news with this story is that there are no reports of injury or illness to an animal.

If you have any questions or concerns you can contact the company at 1-800-421-6456.
