The Trap Door has a unique set up in a century old building, that was a former shoe store. When the building was refurbished as a speakeasy, old shoes from the turn of the century were actually found stuffed in the cracks of the stone walls

The good news is that Michigan is in the path of the total eclipse, the bad news is everyone in the town of Erie is about to make tens of thousands of new friends, as there is only a sliver of the state that's going to be in the path.

A trailer park has erected a 10-foot-tall Tin Man at its entrance; one hand is raised in caution, the other holds a 10 mph sign. With this 10-foot tall tin man holding his hand in the air at the entrance to Marlin Mobile Home Community, you'd have no excuse for missing the speed limit sign in his other hand.

There's one neighborhood in general though that is teeming with deer, to the point where you can't drive to and from it each day without seeing as many as 12 in one area.

The story was so big that Walter Cronkite himself came to Hillsdale to report on it. My documentary filmmaking class at Hillsdale College is doing a full-length documentary about the 1966 UFO sighting - called 'Aliens in the Arb'

Twin Maples Farm at 16625 Center in known for their Honeycrisp apples and their maple syrup but there is a particularly funny sign that sits by the entrance that informs drivers making U-turns on the road that it doesn't come for free, at least not on their property.

In another post separately, somebody made the claim that the buildings owners want $10,000 a month for rent, although we haven't been able t find a listing to confirm that. One person even made a claim in one feed I came across saying that the new business that would be moving in COULD be a Gordon Foods

We often get meet and greets, which is awesome, but it's those moments when you bump into a celebrity that really makes for an awesome story. So before sharing you their stories, I'll tell you about one of the coolest and most odd ones I've ever had.

There are quite a few images that we found on Google Maps which need a little explaining, and maybe other people can send us some more locations to add to this list. Let's check out some of the stranger ones we found

York later passed away of complications from emphysema at Blodgett Hospital in East Grand Rapids, Michigan, on February 20, 1992 at the age of 63 and is buried in Plainfield Cemetery in Rockford, Michigan.
