So I saw the headline that beginning in January, Girl Scout Cookies cereal was going to be available for a limited time. The timing to coincide with Girl Scout Cookie selling season. But after I thought about it, I wondered if it was a good thing. Here's why.

Who doesn't love one flavor or more of Girl Scout cookies? But if you're "jonsing" for girl scout cookies, wouldn't going to the store be in competition with all the girls out there selling cookies person to person?

The deal cut with General Mills is for only two flavors; Thin Mint and Caramel Crunch. But in the story it says only a portion of the money generated goes to the Girl Scouts. And it's never a good thing when you real The Girls Scouts organization declined comment.

I'm all for having Girl Scout cereal. Make mine Caramel Crunch. But I'd hate to see it cut into sales generated by hard working local girl scouts.
