Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore has released a calander of monthly events that include some amazing opportunities to stargaze

All I've able to think about recently is warm weather laying out on the beach. In fact, it's not too early to consider where I want to spend my summer because it's National "Plan For Vacation" Day. They couldn't have picked a better place in my opinion.

One of the great national parks in the state of Michigan is Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.  Recently it was named as one of the best beaches in the world.

The US Coast Guard in Traverse City shared a photo of Lake Michigan and the shoreline of Sleeping Bear Dunes near Empire in winter and the stunning grandeur it shows has been shared across Michigan.

The views were well worth the drive on Day 2.  Our next stop?
