This will be his final year as a Kalamazoo Growler but it’s pretty clear now that at some point next season they will retire his jersey, #2, in a special game. Nobody knows as of yet where the number will be honored at, but we thank him for the past five years of entertainment as he will soon be the only Growler, whose #2, will be his forever.

Another former Battle Creek Bombers (now BattleJacks) has made it to the major leagues. The Northwoods League is a collegiate summer league, and both Battle Creek and Kalamazoo have teams in the league. But one category where Battle Creek leads Kalamazoo is former players to have made it to "The Show", the Major League.

The Kalamazoo Growlers may get more "pub" this week. The team announced a "Lifetime Ban" on Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred, with a subheading in the proclamation saying "Manfred is ruining baseball".
