Six people are dead and another three, including a 14-year-old girl, are injured in a random shooting spree in Kalamazoo overnight. According to multiple media reports, the suspected shooter has been apprehended by law enforcement.

NBC News is reporting that 45-year-old Jason Brian Dalton is being questioned in connection to the shootings, which occurred randomly throughout Kalamazoo and appear to have no meaningful connection. A motive has not been established.

CNN reports that the shooting spree began around 6 p.m. on Saturday night in the parking lot of an apartment complex when the suspected fired four bullets into a woman who was with her children. She remains in serious condition.

The next incident is believed to have occurred around 10 p.m. when another two victims were shot on the lot of a car dealership.

The third shooting took place outside of a Cracker Barrel restaurant when four women in two separate cars were killed, WOOD-TV reports.

Dalton was taken into police custody without incident sometime after midnight near downtown Kalamazoo.
