Punchline: Winter & Road Construction [Map]

There are two seasons of the year in Michigan. Insert punchline here. Here's an idea of what coming up as you drive around these parts.

The Michigan Dept of Transportation has a downloadable .pdf that lists all the major construction projects for the coming road construction season. There don't appear to be any projects as bad as last year's Sprinkle Rd./94 debacle.

A quick glance shows some work done on 94 just east of Kalamazoo and around Galesburg/Climax. There'll be work in June and July on Dickman Rd. in Battle Creek. The worst project appears to be US 131 south of I-94 will get a six mile resurfacing from now to August. Another pain on US131 will be bridge work at 106th St. in Allegan county.

Another pain will be some work in Paw Paw for M-40 and M-43.
