A new Mini Nintento Entertainment System, loaded with 30 classic games is coming just in time for Christmas. Will we have to use a cotton swab to clean the dust out of the remake? :P

Nintendo is having its biggest week since about 1985.  First the whole "Pokemon Go" thing exploded.  And now, according to The Verge, Nintendo announced yesterday that they will release a mini version of the original Nintendo Entertainment System.  And it'll come with 30 games built in!  So, no cotton swabs needed!

A bunch of the games are classics, like:

  • Balloon Fight
  • Bubble Bobble
  • Castlevania
  • Castlevania II: Simon's Quest
  • Donkey Kong
  • Donkey Kong Jr.
  • Double Dragon II: The Revenge
  • Dr. Mario
  • Excitebike
  • Final Fantasy
  • Galaga
  • Ghosts'N Goblins
  • Gradius
  • Ice Climber
  • Kid Icarus
  • Kirby's Adventure
  • Mario Bros.
  • Mega Man 2
  • Metroid
  • Ninja Gaiden
  • Pac-Man
  • Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream
  • StarTropics
  • Super C
  • Super Mario Bros.
  • Super Mario Bros. 2
  • Super Mario Bros. 3
  • Tecmo Bowl
  • The Legend of Zelda
  • Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

It's hard to choose just one so, I'm most excited for Galaga and Super Mario Bros. 3 and I'm sad that Contra isn't on the list but that won't stop me from buying!

They're calling it the "N.E.S. Classic Edition", and it looks exactly like the original, but it's about half the size, comes with one controller, and only costs 60 BUCKS.  You'll be able to get it November 11th... just in time for people to stampede over you on Black Friday.
