Michigan Singer Is The Star Of The Lions Game This Weekend

Michigan singer, takes over Ford Field.

Even though the Detroit Lions lost for the 10th time in a row, there was one Michigan star on Ford Field this weekend.

Genavieve Linkowski, a contestant on ABC’s version of “American Idol” in 2018, belted out her rendition of the National Anthem on Sunday, Dec. 15, at Ford Field in Detroit.

This was not the first time that the 21-year-old also performed the National Anthem inside the Lions Arena. It was back on Sept. 28. 2018 at the game against the New England Patriots in the Motor City that she made her debut.

Genavieve told Mlive, "It’s seriously such a high honor that they trust me to sing one of the hardest songs to 65,000 fans. This was like a day for me that will go down in history."

No word on the next event that Genavieve Linkowski will be performing at.
