Memorial Day is on Monday and many communities in the area will honor those lost with parades and ceremonies.

According to M-Live,  here is a list of communities who will be holding Memorial Day events.

Comstock:  The community will gather at  VFW Post 6252 around 11 a.m. for the parade at noon that will be from Comstock Ave. to Peer Park.

Galesburg/Augusta:  Fort Custer National Cemetery will have their service at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 28th.

Gull Lake/Richland:  Prairie Home Cemetery will host a program at 11 a.m.

Kalamazoo:  Kalamazoo County Memorial Day parade will be at 10 a.m. and run from Michigan Avenue to Riverside Cemetery on Gull Road.

Mattawan: Parade will start at 11 a.m. from Mattawan Elementary School to a ceremony that will be at village park.

Schoolcraft:  Parade will line up at 10:40 a.m. and will head to Schoolcraft Cemetery for a ceremony at 11.

Vicksburg:  Parade will start at 10 a.m. and will travel from Vicksburg Middle School to Vicksburg Cemetery for a ceremony featuring speaker Captain Kenzi Pridgeon.

All of these events are on Memorial Day Monday other than the ceremony at Fort Custer National Cemetery on Sunday.
