It's always sad to see a mom-and-pop shutter their windows. The going-out-business and everything-must-go sales seem like such a depressing end to a once vibrant dream. But King's Shoe Repair on Gull Road had no such sales. In fact, it closed it's doors overnight... with many customer's belongings still inside. Shoes, boots, belts, luggage - dozens of items that had been dropped off are now inaccessible to their owners behind the locked door. It is unclear how customer's personal items will be returned, though I can imagine with such a quick decision to close up shop, that part of things wasn't given much attention.

According to an article, Terry King, owner of King's Shoe Repair, was evicted from the space for failure to pay rent.
