John Peterson, who spent the past three seasons calling Tulsa Oilers hockey has been named the new voice of the Kalamazoo Wings. In addition, he will carry the responsibility of public relations director.

Peterson follows in the footsteps of Isaac Berky, Joe Roberts, Mike Modugno and all the way back to the likes of Terry Ficorelli and Mike Klein.

"Peterson spent the last three seasons with the Tulsa Oilers after starting his ECHL career in 2015-16 with the Evansville IceMen. The 2019-20 season will be the Stillwater, Minn. native’s 11th in hockey and fifth in the ECHL." - Kalamazoo Wings

In that same release, it says Peterson was just named ECHL Broadcaster/PR person of the year in June.

Peterson's K-Wings career will begin on Octorber 12th in Fort Wayne, where Bob Chase broadcast Komets' games for almost a half century. The K-Wings home opener is the following week, on Saturday, October 19th against Cincinnati.
