It Sneaks Up On You. It’s ZooBoo Time
There are certain things that are just must do staples around Southwest Michigan. In late October, that's the Binder Park ZooBoo.
The Zoo Boo for 2018 starts this Thursday, October 18th and will go for eight days; starting with Thursday through Sunday, October 18th thru 21st and then from Thursday, October 25th thru 28th, Hours are from 1:00 pm to 8:00pm each day. The theme as you enter is children's storybooks, "Clifford the Big Red Dog, The Cat in the Hat, The Jungle Book and other treasured tales. Dressed in fall colors, the cornstalks, chrysanthemums and pumpkin décor highlight the natural beauty of zoo grounds during the daylight hours of ZooBoo, while a spookier, yet merry-not-scary vibe takes over after dark." according to the Zoo staff.
If you are a zoo member, the admission price is $12, and $14 if you're not, but either way it includes unlimited carousel and hay rides. While kids don't have to wear costumes, there will be trick or treating and plenty of other activities, too, like pumpkin carving, and a carnival.
ZooBoo is jam-packed with entertainment... Bunnicula! Beware the Bunny! No vegetable is safe, presented by magician and story teller Mark Irish each day on the hour from 1 – 7pm. Learn about Subzero Science in a fascinating demonstration by the Air Zoo at two shows on Friday, October 26th, 5 pm and 6 pm, and enjoy the hilarious, interactive entertainment of comedy magician and entertainer, Carmen Zvara – performing both weekends on Saturday and Sunday at 5pm.
And the zoo reminds guest to visit the new baby Red Panda, Oolong at the veterinary hospital..
