If You’re Cold They’re Cold: Should MI Pass This New Law?

I've seen it far too many times; some poor dog being left outside for way to long during the winter time. It seems some pet owners love the idea of having one, but the responsibility of handling one properly is too much of a burden at times apparently.

A new law passed in Pennsylvania known as Libre's Law states that dogs cannot be tied up outside for more than 30 minutes if the weather is below 32 degrees or if the weather is above 90 degrees during summer days.

Those who are caught breaking this law will face a fine and potentially even jail time with a sentence anywhere from 6 to 12 months.

I feel like if you can't do the right thing and bring your pet inside or find someone who will be able to watch your pet while you're away, you kind of forfeit any title of responsible pet owner. I think this law need to make its way to Michigan. What do you think?
