With the recent story on social media about the owner of 'Craft Draft 2 Go', it is scary to see the power of hate groups, and the 5 we have here in West Michigan.

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is a group that explains themselves as...

"The Southern Poverty Law Center is dedicated to fighting hate and bigotry and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of our society. Using litigation, education, and other forms of advocacy, the SPLC works toward the day when the ideals of equal justice and equal opportunity will be a reality."

The SPLC as put together what they call a "Hate Map". This map tracks all the hate groups functioning in the States. Across America there are 917 established groups, what is most frightening is there are 28 in the State of Michigan. If you narrow that down to West Michigan, we have 5!

CBSnews.com describes the The Klux Klan (KKK) as...

The Ku Klux Klan is the oldest American hate group, and while the number of active KKK chapters declined in 2016, members of the Klan are trying to regain ground. The SPLC estimates there are between 5,000 and 8,000 Klan members nationwide, split between many factions.

Whiteboysociety.blogspot.com describes their group as...

"First and foremost the WBS is a white brotherhood aimed towards bikers. We are dedicated to the future of our rights, country, folk and children. The WBS goal is to unite brothers with similar beliefs and ideologies. Though we wish to be a voice for our folk and are concerned for the future of our country and children, we are not a hate group or a supremacy group. We do not want nor intend to rule supreme over any other race or culture. We know that if the white race is to survive we must separate and rule over our own destiny. WBS is against all outsourcing of American jobs, employers that hire illegal aliens that take our American jobs and is against all media that is detrimental to our children which would be any magazine, newspaper, television show, movie, radio program or website that constantly shoves black culture down our throats and promotes race mixing to our white children."

Encyclopedia.com describes Yahweh's Truth as...

"Through the interpretation of the biblical texts and apocryphal biblical literature, YT preaches that white American men and women should fight against government and its institutions, should oppose globalization policies, and prepare for a final armed conflict against the authorities and other racial opponents. The ultimate goal of YT and the Identity Movement as a whole is to overthrow the U.S. government through military conflict."

The idea of "hate groups", sickens my soul and all I can think of is a quote from the Dalai Lama...

"Where ignorance is our master, there is no possibility of real peace."
