And the hits just keep on comin'. Look for another traffic pain, as you try and navigate around downtown Kalamazoo.

This time is a seven week project that will shut down Rose Street from Kalamazoo Avenue to Eleanor Street. The reason given by the City of Kalamazoo is Consumers Energy upgrades. This work begins Tuesday (September 3rd) and is schedule to run to October 22nd.

The city officially says "There will be impacts to the motoring public."

It is nice for the city to mention that, as the motoring public is now fourth on the priority list, behind bicyclists, pedestrians, and animals.

On a more positive note, the shutdown of D Avenue in northern Kalamazoo County should be ending by the end of next week, at least according to the Kalamazoo County Road Commission's latest weekly update, which says "Shoulder gravel and gravel driveways to be placed the week of 8/26/19.Detour possible until September 5th."
