If you can't afford a prom dress, here is how to get one for free!

Memories Bridal and WKFR have teamed up to take part in the Cinderella Project of Kalamazoo. This is a great program that allows young ladies who might not go to prom because they can not afford a dress, to find their dream outfit and experience the night of their life.

This year’s event will again be held at the Girls Scouts Heart of Michigan, 601 W. Maple Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49008. The event occurs on Friday, March 23, from 4 pm to  7 pm. Heather McGregor will be there from 3:30 to 5:30 helping gals pick out their dream dress.

Dresslikeyou.com explained that the...

Cinderella Project of Kalamazoo is an annual event that provides free prom dresses and accessories to local high school young women in need.

Over the years the Cinderella Project has given away hundreds of dresses to make every young lady feel beautiful and have a night to remember.

Dresslikeyou.com has a simple and lovely goal...

to make sure every young lady that wants to attend prom has the opportunity to do so no matter what her personal or financial hardships.

The event is an "open call" event which means everyone is welcome and the project operates on the honor system, so there is no need for proof of financial need, but you must have a valid school id or proof of enrollment. The other requirement that you need to be aware of is that all girls must attend in person to recieve a free dress.
