M-DOT To Start Replacing Signage Along US 131

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be upgrading freeway signs along US-131 beginning July 11th. Most, if not all, are expected to remain green with white lettering.

The upgrades will start at U Avenue in Portage to the Allegan/Kent county line, and along US-131 Business Route (BR) from Dunkley Street to US-131 in Kalamazoo. These cities along the highway will be affected: Portage, Kalamazoo, Plainwell, Martin and Wayland.

The project begins on Monday, July 11th and is expected to end on November 11th.
