Inside Scoop On What It Is Like To Be A Ribfest Volunteer

There is still time to sign up to be a volunteer for the 2019 Kalamazoo Ribfest. Every volunteer gets a FREE Ribfest volunteer shirt and FREE admission into the festival the day they are volunteering. But what is actually like be a volunteer?

Tanya Hernandez-Hoke volunteered at last years Ribfest. Here is what she had to say about why she did so.

My favorite part is seeing the community come together. I wish I had a better answer as far as what made me want to volunteer, but it was being able to see the main artist for free. I definitely will volunteer again.

The Kalamazoo Ribfest musical lineup has a distinctively '90's feel to it, with Friday night headliners Everclear, and Saturday night it will be Spin Doctors and Joan Osborne. Local Blues wunderkind Jake Kershaw will play on Thursday night.
