Another sign that Spring and then Summer may eventually arrive in Southwest Michigan. Binder Park Zoo in Battle Creek has announced its Summer Learning Lineup.
Learning is WILDLY fun at Binder Park Zoo! It’s where your child will meet amazing animals, learn how fascinating they are, and understand the very special place that all creatures have in the world. - Binder Park Zoo release.
The Zoo suggests that Safari Day Camp is better than daycare. The day camp program runs for eight weeks; June 17th through August 16th and features the following themes: Animal Artists, Carnivore Chronicles and Take Action Trivia. This program is for children from 1st to 7th grade and children can participate for one to eight weeks. What they get to do is get up close to the animals, learn from the zookeepers and actually make things for the animals.Binder Park offers a 10% discount for early registration (with additional discounts for multiple weeks and zoo membership) before April 1st at BinderParkZoo.com Use the coupon code “Chirp Chirp”
The Zoo also has several sleep-overs this summer, geared to families, clubs, scout groups, etc: A "Family Slumber Party", "Overnight Safari" or "Zoo Snooze!"
A sleepover at the zoo is a rare opportunity for guests age 6 and up to experience sleeping under the stars near the snow leopard exhibit, or spending the night savanna-side in the tented camp to meet live animals, hike the zoo and share other nighttime adventures. - Binder Park Zoo release
