If you happen to be someone who actually likes snow- good for you! I am not among you. Having recently moved back to Michigan after living in southwest Missouri for the past four years, I'm currently finding myself looking for any logical explanation as to why I moved back to Michigan in the first place, other than because it's home. Especially after that latest round of lake effect snow last week, I'm asking myself why I choose to return during the winter months no less?

After some careful thinking, it turns out there are actually quite a few benefits to living in West Michigan during the colder months. I easily came up with a handful of reasons to love the aptly nicknamed "Mitten" state during this time of year, lake effect snow and all. Surely I know there are more than seven of them, but here is a reminder in case you forgot why we love Pure Michigan no matter the season.
