Hippie Fest. The family-run festival "with a mission to create unifying experiences for people of all ages" is going on tour in 2021, and they are bringing all the flower power they can muster to the Kalamazoo County Fairgrounds, June 5th. Tune up that Volkswagen bus and prepare to hang out with some gentle people with flowers in their hair!

According to their website, the Kalamazoo event will feature"

"...live music, bohemian shopping, vintage hippie car show, DIY tie-dye, giant bubble garden, cirque performers, kids activities, delicious food, and so much more. All ages welcome. Kids 10 and under free. It's groovy baby!

Groovy, indeed. Who wouldn't want to dip their own tie-dye shirt while circle dancing with strangers (socially distanced, more than likely). With all the events that have been cancelled over the last nine months, its certainly nice to have something fun, vibrant, and outdoors to look forward to on our horizon. Hippie Fest really ticks all the boxes we've been missing; food, live music, and togetherness.

Tickets are only $12, and they're always looking for new entries in to their Hippie Car Show. It's free to enter, but you will compete for prizes, trophies, and bragging rights. Want to hock your wares? They're looking for local vendors to be on site and bring their magic. Whether you've got a food truck, a jewelry cart, or know a thing or two about face painting, Hippie Fest wants to hear from you.
