Kalamazoo, Battle Creek Winter Weather Advisory: ‘Hazardous,’ Half-Foot of Snow
The southwest Michigan area is in line to get a bunch of snow from 11 a.m. Thursday through 4 p.m. Friday.
How much snow? Their best guess is 3 to 6 inches. Meteorologists predict that the snow will fall heaviest to the west side of Michigan, and the east side won't see much.
The worst of it is the wind, as we're looking at gusts of up to 45 mph — which means we'll likely experience blowing and drifting, essentially blizzard-like conditions.
While the highs are showing 10 degrees for Thursday and 14 degrees on Friday, the wind chill will have you feeling like it's 10 to 20 below zero.
With the snowfall and visibility predicted being zero at times, the National Weather Service warned of "dangerous" travel conditions. So, if you must take to the road, remember to take it slow.
The National Weather Service said the area may also experience scattered power outages.
