Vine Neighborhood Yard Sale Has Been Postponed This Year

Every year in August, one of the funnest local events in Kalamazoo takes place in the Vine Neighborhood, the annual yard sale. I've seen quite a few people on Facebook publicly ask everyone if anyone knows when the sale is going to be. Usually the Vine Neighborhood Association's Facebook page will create an event page for it, but it has yet to be made.

I took it upon myself to message them and they informed me that they would be forgoing the sale this year, however they do encourage personal sales and even offered to help. This was the reason for the postponing of the event:

 We are forgoing the sale this year. Traditionally it has been held the third weekend in august, however feedback we received indicted that many felt that date was too late, and the sale would do better being aligned with the Westnedge Hill Yard Sale. If you decided to have a sale of your own, I'd be glad to lend a table or two for your efforts.

On another thread, Steve Walsh commented saying that they plan to " forgo an "official" Vine sale this year, and to re-double our efforts next spring."

So at least this Spring we know we will have a great Vine Yard Sale to attend! You can always keep an eye on their page if you're interested in other social events from them.
