The Royal Starr Film Festival is hosting their first ever Filmmaker Community Mixer of next month at Emagine Theaters in Royal Oak on Feb 13th starting at 7 pm. According to the committee, this will be the first of many similar gatherings to come this year which will ultimately lead up to the Royal Starr Film Festival itself.

The mixer will take place at the "Grill Restaurant" located inside Emagine theater and admission to the event is free of charge. There are a great number of filmmakers in Michigan who are incredibly excited for this event, Like Corey Milton. Milton is a graduate of Specs Howard in Southfield, MI and is currently a Film Freelancer. He knows firsthand how important an event like this is for local filmmakers:

Networking events like these are a fantastic way to strengthen the filmmaking community here in Michigan and are a great opportunity for those who are new to the industry to interact with like-minded individuals.

Starting February 13th, Royal Starr Filmmaker Community Mixers will take place on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at Emagine Theaters in Royal Oak. Royal Starr Film Festival itself will kick off in October this year. Short films and feature films play on multiple screens inside of Emagine Theaters in Royal Oak.
