It’s Not Will’s Class Ring

My Christmas gift from my dad was his sheriff's department ring he has had for the past 25 to 30 years.

He is retired from the Oakland County Sheriff's Department on the east side of the state.

He told me, "You should have something to pass down from me to your kids."

I thought it was very cool, and I wear it all the time. But there have been a few times when people have said — before even asking if it is my class ring — that maybe I am too old to be still wearing my class ring.

Of course, after I explain it, they apologize.

I guess the question that comes to my mind is, "If it is none of your business, why ask?"
