Winter Break Performance: Magician John Dudley
Free
Tue December 29, 2015 - Thu December 31, 2015 11 a.m.
Magician John Dudley returns to the Museum during the holiday break for two free performances on December 29th and 31st at 11 a.m. in the Mary Jane Stryker Theater. Inspired by his seventh grade teacher, John Dudley has been entertaining the young at heart for decades throughout the Midwest. Don’t miss his sleight of hand and the chance to participate in these live shows.

John Dudley first performed at the Kalamazoo Valley Museum, formerly the Kalamazoo Public Museum, when it was located at the library over 20 years ago. Since then, he has performed in our current theater and out on the floor as a traveling magician, and he has trained Museum volunteers and staff to do magic tricks. He was the resident magician at Deer Forest Theme Park for 19 years and was featured at local restaurants during their family nights. He is the author of two books, “Magic Tricks to Fool Your Friends” and “Marvelous Magic for Beginners.” He has recently released a DVD, “Tricky Tricks Vol. 1,” and is selling his own magic kit.

Winner of a statewide competition, he completed a 40-city tour for Nabisco Company as “The Oreo Magician.” Dudley has also been handcuffed twice, placed in a wooden box, and lowered into the Black River, in South Haven Michigan, to escape in just over two minutes. You won’t want to miss this talented magician! Tickets are limited and will be available free on a first-come, first-served basis.
