Richland Independence Day

Additional Information

The 42nd Annual Richland Art Fair will be held on Saturday July 18, 2015 from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm at the Richland Village Square.

Artists and patrons will be delighted with this special event set in the pleasant Richland Village Square! The juried show will feature a diverse selection of original art works as well as superior hand crafted items. Many artists from Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio are returning to the event, while others are exhibiting for the first time.

In addition to the opportunity to peruse or purchase such artistic and creative works, patrons and guests may also enjoy food while relaxing in the shade. Creative art activities will be available for children while supplies last. A raffle is also planned and gives everyone a chance at winning and the opportunity to support the community service programs sponsored by the Gull Lake Area Community Volunteers.

The Gull Lake Area Community Volunteers sponsored programs include:
• Bright Holidays – providing families in need with clothing, food, & educational toys at the holidays.
• Community Emergency Needs – providing assistance throughout the year for families in need of food, clothing, fuel, transportation, and rent payments.
• Community School Support – providing funds for educational support, tutoring, educational trips, AV equipment, library books, technology, and art supplies.
• Fall Warm-up Program – providing winter outerwear for children in need.
• Medical / Dental Assistance Program – providing medical attention, dental work, counseling and evaluation for students in need.
• Scholarship – providing two $1,000 scholarships each spring to Gull Lake High School graduating seniors who have demonstrated exemplary volunteerism.

Proceeds from the sale of artist booths also contribute to these valuable programs. A limited number of booths are still available. Spaces are 12’ x 12’ and cost $135 each.
