Additional Information

Everybody from the ghost busters, drag queens, and a roller-skating Richard Simmons has graced the annual Do-Dah Parade in downtown Kalamazoo – and this year won’t disappoint. The Do-Dah Parade on June 7 is no ordinary parade – it’s absurd, goofy, and downright hilarious. It’s filled with local people who dress the part of parodies, spoofs, and characters – and they create lots of laughs while doing it.

The parade is fun for all ages and celebrates the one time of year when “silly and satire” rule the streets of downtown Kalamazoo. If you want in on the action, this year may be your chance. Any organization, business, or group may host a unit featuring a parody.

The Do-Dah Parade is a star and creates quite the spectacle, but it’s only part of the fun on this “June Jubilee” in downtown Kalamazoo.
