KALAMAZOO WELLNESS & RECOVERY FAIR

Please join us in sponsoring Kalamazoo’s first annual Wellness and Recovery
Fair! The event will be held in Bronson Park on September 17, 2015 from 11am
- 4pm.
In honor of National Recovery Month, this event has been organized by the
Peer Collaborative, a committee of people in recovery (peers) who are advocates
for empowering people to succeed in recovery from substance use and mental
health concerns.
With this event we hope: to celebrate and raise awareness that recovery is
possible; diminish stigma and other negative perceptions and educate the public
and organizations about services in our community.
Options for Sponsorship:
1. Hosting a booth at the fair $20.00/each table
2. In kind donation of healthy snacks, bottled water or other useful items to
be raffled off as gifts
3. Cash donation to help cover costs this year and to go toward organizing
next year’s event.
4. Display Talent/Sell Craft, option for people in recovery.

Recovery Institute, a local peer run 501c3 nonprofit organization, is acting as
fiduciary for this event. Our mission statement reads: “we are a community of
peers embracing recovery” and we have been contracting with Kalamazoo
Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services to provide peer-to-
peer recovery services to individuals in Kalamazoo since 2006.
