Hi, I’m Dana Marshall. Not only did I grow up in SW Michigan but I started my career right here at WKFR. Back in 1991 I interned for a guy you may have heard of, Dave Benson. Since then I've gained about 10 lbs....in my face. After doing radio all over the country I've come back home. Outside of playing Today's Best Music during your work day. I'll also take you waaaaay back with the Retro Lunch Hour at Noon.
Been doing this a long time. At KFR since '87. Had an awful lot of fun through the years here. This is one special radio station. Also, since coming to Kalamazoo, both my sons were born here, and are living here now. Michael works for the schools, and David is a freshman at Western. The love of my life is Kathy. She's my best friend and the hottest woman alive.
My interest in radio first started in high school where I was the night DJ every Thursday from 8 to 11PM on 89.5 WAHS at Avondale High School in Auburn Hills. After I knew that radio is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I started broadcasting school at Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts in October of 2003. After graduating I got my first real job in Tawas MI at a small country station 104.7 WKJC. After 5 months of doing weekends and filling in for the full time staff I landed my first full time job in Athens OH
I've been in radio for 6 years and it is my true passion. I worked in rock radio in Columbus, Ohio and Atlantic City, New Jersey before moving to Kalamazoo to work mornings with Will Harvey on KFR. I have only been here a short time but I already feel at home and I think I'll stay! ;P
Lisa Paige hosts Pop Crush Nights each weeknight. Her personality and ability to easily connect with anyone have allowed Lisa to work at some of the biggest radio stations in the country. She has interviewed some of the industry's most popular and top selling artists in pop music including, Jay Z, Jennifer Lopez, Usher, Ne-Yo, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, OneRepublic, Timbaland, Pitbull, Kesha, Enrique Iglesias, Chris Brown and Jason Derulo, just to name a few
I was interested in radio at a very early age. I even remember making up my own radio shows and recording them to see what I sounded like. I grew up listening to 103.3 KFR ever since I could learn how to use a radio. I told my mom and dad that someday I was going to be on the radio for real! My parents have been such a great support in my decision to follow my dream. So yes, here I am after being in Chicago for about 10 years and L.A. for 2 years
