At a sold out show at Ford Field in Detroit, Taylor Swift took a few moments to honor the great Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin. According to the Detroit Free Press

Detroit was the latest stop on Swift's Reputation Stadium Tour, and she took the opportunity to pay homage to Aretha Franklin. Swift spoke reverently about the late soul icon and had the stadium darkened as she led a minute of silence.

Aretha Franklin's funeral services have begun and will span four days, with two public viewings available to her fans and community. On Tuesday, it was announced that Ariana Grande will join Stevie Wonder, Faith Hill and Jennifer Hudson, who are among the many stars slated to honor Franklin at this week's memorial events.

I can only hope that Aretha knew how many lives she touched and how revered she truly was.
