A month after it was first detected in West Michigan, a recent round of testing by Kalamazoo County officials confirms mosquitoes are carrying West Nile Virus.
It has been confirmed by the Kalamazoo County Health & Community Services Department that a resident in Kalamazoo County was diagnosed with the West Nile Virus on Wednesday, Sept. 26
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services confirmed Friday that eight human cases of West Nile virus for 2018 in Michigan have been confirmed, including one death.
