If you are without power from the severe weather this week, it may be a while before service is restored. Consumers Energy is reporting that some areas left without power from the strong storms that have rolled over the region may not have service restored until Sunday.
The National Weather Service says a large portion of the lower peninsula is in the "slight risk" category for severe weather according to the Storm Prediction Center.
Thursday will bring the warmest temperatures of the year so far to Michigan, but also will bring with it a threat for the first severe weather outbreak.
This weekend will be a scorcher all over the nation. Indianapolis, Kalamazoo and Kansas City could be seeing their hottest days of the year this weekend.
