There are plenty of scary movies to choose from these days, but the classics clearly stick with us the most. And that seems to be the trend across the U.S. in a poll of the 'Most Scary Movie Monster' by state. Classic horror movie characters have left the most terrifying impression on the entire nation, although the character does vary by state.
Last night, I watched what had popped up on my Google search on scary movies related to Michigan. I probably should have looked closer into this one, even though it has "Monsters" in the title. I thought, "Great! A monster movie!"
Nope...totally a crap movie that just happened to have monsters in the background.
For today's installment of Michigan Horror Movies for Halloween, I watched Jingles the Clown last night. It was made in Ypsilanti, MI, and set in "Michigan", and they weren't very specific, making it "the middle of nowhere". Is anyone going to be mad to not get location credit in this movie? No.
