The United States National Weather Service in Grand Rapids is forecasting a powerful storm moving through Michigan beginning late Tuesday night through Wednesday, with a second potentially powerful system moving through over the weekend.
Saturday's heavy rains and storms have prompted the National Weather Service to issue flood warnings for Kalamazoo, Calhoun and Van Buren counties, and has led to several postponements including the WMU/Akron football game.
Showers and thunderstorms in the forecast for the next few days have postponed the demotion of the Cork St. Bridge over I-94. The demolition work would have caused a series of timed shut downs of the entire highway.
